Dr. Tigran Sultanyan, MD., Ph.D., Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor,Chief vascular surgeon of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Armenia, Head of postgraduate education department of cardio- vascular surgery of Yerevan state medical university,Head of LASER AND VASCULAR SURGERY CLINIC, vascular surgeon. 

Dr. Tigran Sultanyan was born in 1957, in Tbilisi. He graduated from Yerevan Medical Institute in 1980. Medical practice started in 1982.  

Scientific interests and works:problems of prevalence of atherosclerosis, correction of valvular apparatus in chronic venous insufficiency.  

Dr. Sultanyan was first in Armenia who implemented laser surgeryof veins. For more than 15 years he performs complex and unique operations such as: 

Endovascular interventions of atherosclerotic and  diabetic affected arteries - angioplasty (balloon dilation) and stent; 

Arterial reconstructive high-tech operations (bypass and alloprosthesis) for following diseases: 

• aneurysm of abdominal aorta; 

• aneurysm of peripheral arteries; 

• Lerish syndrome; 

• atherosclerotic disease of abdominal aorta and lower extremities; 

• endarteritis; 

• diabeticangiopathy; 

• atherosclerotic disease of carotid arteries 

Dr. Sultanyan and his team also performs: 

- surgical and conservative treatment of chronic vein insufficiency, varicose veins and their complications (thrombosis,    thrombophlebitis, tropic ulcers); 

- minimal invasive and sparing surgeries by the high- energetic diode laser; 

- prophylactic and surgical treatment for thromboembolic complications; 

- surgical, conservative and laser treatment for hemangiomas, arteriovenous malformations, chemodectomies, kinkings of carotid arteries, exit syndrome of the chest, lymphostasis; 

- non surgical laser coagulation of vessel net and “stars” of the skin
