Dr. Karen Adamyan - ENT M.D., Founding Director of LORIMED Medical Center in Vanadzor city, Armenia; Lecturer in medicine at various universities and medical colleges of Armenia, Volunteer and Rescue Doctor during the ARTSAKH liberation war.

Education and training

Dr. Karen Adamyan graduated from Department of General Medicine of the Yerevan State Medical Institute in 1987 (the current Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi).

Medical practice and other relevant professional experience

Dr. Karen Adamyan started his medical practice in policlinic N3 of Vanadzor city, in 1987. He also taught medicine at various educational institutions, such as Kirovakan (Vanadzor) Medical Collage, Mkhitar Gosh Armenian-Russian University, National Institute of Health Named After Academician S. AVDALBEKYAN (NIH), since 1998.

Dr. Karen Adamyan was the Director of Vanadzor Hospital N2, from 1993 to 2011. In 2014 he founded and currently successfully runs the LORIMED Medical Center.

Participation in ARTSAKH Liberation War

As part of the rescue team ASLAN, Dr. Karen Adamyan participated in the Artsakh liberation war as a rescue doctor in 1992-1993.

Special achievements and interests

Dr. Karen Adamyan twice climbed to the top of the sacred biblical Mount Ararat in 2010 and 2014. He loves painting and antiques.

Medals and awards

MEDAL OF GRATITUDE from the President of the REPUBLIC OF ARTSAKH, for merits in the ARTSAKH LIBERATION WAR.

Public activities

Dr. Karen Adamyan was four times elected to the city council of Vanadzor (the third largest city in Armenia), during 1991 - 2011.
