Education and training
Dr. Kyurkchyan graduated from the Pediatric Department of the Yerevan State Medical Institute (present day Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi / YSMU) in 1978. Later, Dr. Kyurkchyan participated in training programs Worldwide.
Medical practice and relevant professional activities
Dr. Khachatur Kyurkchyan started his medical practice as an Intern in the HOSPITAL N2 in 1978. Then he worked as a pediatrician in: 1) the 1st Pediatric Polyclinic, since 1979, and 2) the 3-rd Medical Union of Kirovakan (currently Vanadzor) city, in 1981. Later, Dr. Kyurkchayn worked in several healthcare institutions, such as:
- Anesthesiologist-Reanimatologist in 3rd Medical Union, Kirovakan, 1981-1982
- Anesthesiologist on duty in 3rd Medical Union, Kirovakan, 1982
- An ambulance doctor, 1983
- Anesthesiologist-reanimatologist in the 3rd Pediatric Hospital, 1983-1990
- 1990-1993-RPCH-Anesthesiologist in Urological Department, 1990-1993
- Head of operation department, 1993-1997
- Assistant of Anesthesiology and Reanimatology in the National Institute of Healthcare after Avdalbekyan, 1992-2007
- Head of department of Anesthesiology and Intensive care in ARABKIR Medical Center, since 1997
- Head of Surgical Anesthesiology and Intensive care services in ARABKIR Medical Center, since 2008
- Founding president in PO AIRWAY management, since 2009
- Assistant of Anesthesiology and Reanimatology in the Faculty of Postgraduate Education of YSMU, since 2011
