Dr. Armine Haykaram Poghosyan – Medical Radiologist: Doppler / Duplex / Ultrasound - conducted about 25,000 Doppler / Duplex and 40,000 ultrasound examinations of patients (most of the files, data and images/videos are stored electronically; Head of the Diagnostic and Clinical Laboratory at MIKAELYAN INSTITUE OF SURGERY; Lecturer and Trainer at Yerevan State Medical University named after Mkhitar Heratsi (YSMU), Member of the Armenian Association of Radiation Oncology and Radiology; Member of the Association of Armenian Oncologists.

Education and training

Dr. Armine H. Poghosyan graduated from the Department of General Medicine of the Yerevan State Medical University named after Mkhitar Heratsi (YSMU) in 2001 and the Clinical Residency of the same university on Radial Diagnostics in 2003.

Dr. Armine Poghosyan passed a full time (one year) Clinical Fellowship in Diagnostic Ultrasound at the Armenia’s Ultrasound Training Center of the Jefferson Ultrasound Institute of Thomas Jefferson University, USA, in 2003.

Dr. Armine Poghosyan participated in several educational and training programs, including:

• Training course on Radiology, ASPERA SCAN Medical Scientific Center - 2009
• Special training program for radiologists on Doppler / Duplex Scanning, National Institute of Health Named after Academician S. AVDALBEKYAN (NIH) - 2009
• Contemporary Issues of CT scan - a special training program for Radiologists and X-ray specialists, YSMU - 2012.

Medical practice and related professional experience

Dr. Armine H. Poghosyan started her medical / professional practice, as a Senior Laboratory Assistant in the Department of Radial Diagnostics of the Yerevan State Medical University named after Mkhitar Heratsi in 2003. She became Assistant Lecturer and Trainer at the same department since 2010. Dr. Poghosyan has trained about 40 medical doctors to master in radiology - Doppler / Duplex / Ultrasound and more.

Dr. Poghosyan worked as a Medical doctor and Ultrasound specialist in the Department of Radiation Oncology of the National Center of Oncology After V.A.Fanarjyan, from 2004 to 2010.

Dr. Armine H. Poghosyan is the Head of the Diagnostic and Clinical Laboratory of the MIKAELYAN INSTITUE OF SURGERY since 2010.
