Dr. Armen M. Varzhapetyan graduated from the Department of General Surgery of the Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsy, in 1997; and medical residency of the same department in 2000.

Professional experience

Dr. Armen Varzhapetyan started his medical practice in 2001, in the Department of General surgery at MALATIA Medical Center, Yerevan, Armenia.

In 2016, Dr. Armen Varzhapetyan became the Head of Endocrine surgery service of ASTGHIK Medical Center, Yerevan, Armenia. Meantime, Dr. Varzhapetyan works in the Department of General Surgery of the Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsy, since 2002, as an Associate Professor.

Professional activities are related to treatment of thyroid, parathyroid glands and adrenal diseases. Thanks to modern technologies and equipment of ASTGHIK Medical Center and professional skills of Dr. Varzhapetyan, of course, all aspects of medical intervention are carried out with modern methods and devices, due to which the surgical trauma degree has decreased and the inpatient hospitalization periods have been reduced up to 1-3 days.
