Dr. Sergo Hovhannisyan – PhD, DMD, Dentist (Implant and Esthetic Dentistry), Senior Lecturer at the Department of Prosthodonics of the Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi.
Dr. Sergo Hovhannisyan graduated from the Department of Dentistry of the Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi, in 1997, and the Clinica Residency at the Department of Prosthodontics of the same university in 2000 / major specialization - Prosthodontics. Later, during the years of 2015-2016, Dr. Hovhannisyan successfully completed additional specialty training at Yerevan State Medical University with a specialization in Dental Implantology.
Medical practice and other professional experience
2000-2002: Military service as a doctor-stomatologist (dentist) at the Department of Complex Maxillofacial Prosthetics of Central Clinical Military Hospital of Armenia.
2002-2012: Head of the Dentistry Department at Central Clinical Military Hospital of Armenia. Lead dentist of the army.
2002-2015: Lecturer at the Prosthodontics Department of Yerevan State Medical University.
2015-present: Senior lecturer at the Prosthodontics Department of Yerevan State Medical University.
2012-present: Dentist at the “Deluxe” dental clinic.
In 2015 received Candidate of Medical Sciences degree after successful defense of the doctoral thesis Morphological and Functional Characteristics of Periodontal Sensory Apparatus during Tooth Endodontic Treatment and Fixed Prosthetic Treatment of Dental Arches (Clinical and Experimental Research)
