About the clinic
MODERN IMPLANT MEDICINE (MIM) is an Armenian-German multifunctional medical center, specialized in maxillofacial surgery, dental implantology, plastic surgery and other fields of modern medicine.
The MIM was founded in 2009 by the Armenian famous maxillofacial surgeon Dr. Grigor Khachatryan, assistant professor of the Yerevan State Medical University at that time and scientific director of the MIM; and Professor Khoury George – a scientific consultant from Hamburg, Germany.
MIM provides modern quality medical services in the following major fields:

The MIM clinic is equipped with modern medical equipment and tools, sometime unique for Armenia, such as the maxillofacial computer tomography SIRONA GALILEOS COMFORT, which is a 3D diagnostic tomography that allows studying from all the sides, making a thorough and accurate diagnostics as well as planning the treatment tactics. The MIM medical doctors are also widely using video stroboscope and KARL STORZ video endoscope for ENT organs.
The MIM staff is periodically retrained in Germany and other European specialized medical centers. The main partners of the clinic are the German medical center ESTETICA Clinic and the famous German company DENTSPLY SIRONA, which owns the brands Ankylos C / X, XiVe and Astra.

ACADEMIA gallery-shop is located in central Yerevan, not far from the National Assembly (Parliament) of Armenia.
For more than a decade, many artists, collectors of paintings, museums and others order the design and frames for paintings in this gallery-shop, being confident that they will receive a quality product and service due time.
Since 2005, the ACADEMIA gallery-shop offers various products and services to customers, including: decor and framing of paintings, passepartout, and other items.
Décor of paintings is extremely important -- the designer must understand the essence of the picture, therefore professionalism is a must in this case. Mr. Nerses Melikyan, the founder and CEO of the ACADEMIA gallery-shop, is an artist-designer, who graduated from the Department of Design of the Artistic - Theatrical Institute of Yerevan in 1980. Mr. Nerses Melikyan is a member of the Artists Union of Armenia since 1988.
Most of the Armenia’s leading museums collaborate with the ACADEMIA gallery-shop. They order décor and framing of their pictures here for long time. Among such museums are:

Wooden frames of paintings are mainly imported from Italy. For the picture frames different types of glasses are used, including: museum glass, not shiny and ordinary glass, and the passepartout is used exclusively not acid.
Dr. Artashes L. Shiganyan – Radiologist, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) specialist, Head of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Service at ASTGHIK Medical Center, Yerevan, ARMENIA.
Dr. Shiganyan is of the most experienced radiologists in Armenia, one of the first working in this field of diagnostic visualization in Armenia.
Education and training
Dr. Artashes Levon Shiganyan graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine of the Yerevan State Medical Institute - the current Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi (YSMU) in 1986, and completed Medical Residency at the MALATIA Hospital, Yerevan, Armenia, in 1987.
In the early 90's Dr. Shiganyan continued his education during continued education courses and advanced trainings in the modern diagnostic methods and technologies, particularly in radiology / echocardiography (Leningrad - St. Petersburg), general ultrasound, etc.
In 2004 Dr. Artashes Shiganyan completed a six-month observation- fellowship at the Georgia Neurosurgical Institute, Medical Center of Central Georgia, USA.
Medical practice and other professional experience
Dr. Artashes Shiganyan started his professional activities in 1987 in the position of cardiologist, worked in several regional hospitals and medical institutions of Armenia.
Since 1990 he worked as echocardiographist in the DIAGNOSTICA JSC, and later, since 1995, as MRI specialist / radiologist.
In 1996-1999 he worked as Radiologist/MRI specialist at the NAIRI Medical Center and in 1999-2015 - at the AVAGYAN Medical Center, at the position of the Head of MRI Department.
Since 2016 Dr. Shiganyan is the Head of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Service at ASTGHIK Medical Center, equipped with modern medium and high-field MRI devices and providing wide range of multimodality MRI examinations for adult and pediatric population.
Since 2017 Dr. Shiganyan is European Association of Radiology Full Member.
PROM-TEST Laboratories (PROMTEST LLC) is one of the leading independent medical laboratories in Armenia, founded in 1998. The company has an invaluable contribution to the development of microbiology in Armenia, through the introduction of applied innovative technologies, advanced training of scientists and related specialists.
Historical overview
PROM-TEST opened a DNA laboratory in 1998. Diagnostic services included tests for bacterial infections, number of DNA and RNA viruses, as well as cholera. Later, PROM-TEST started cooperation with the ARMENICUM project, conducting its lab tests in 2000. The Company also helped the project in creating its lab, as well as supplying it with chemical agents and equipment.
In addition, PROM-TEST supplied and installed laboratory equipment for the genetic identification laboratory at the Armenia’s Scientific-Practical Center of Forensic Medicine, in 2000. Meantime, series of training courses were provided for the specialists of the above mentioned Center. As a major result - the identification of physical persons became possible in Armenia on a genetic level, FIRST time!
Since 2002 PROM-TEST started another major cooperation with the Center for Cardiac Surgery. The main areas of the above mentioned collaboration are Infection Control and Nosocomial Infections. Major achievement: for the first time in Amenia, molecular typing of microorganisms and the differential analysis of nosocomial infections became possible!
The same year (2002) PROM-TEST started the quantitative testing of hepatitis C, the only such service in the region until recently. Before that time, all the analyses of hepatitis C would have to be sent to Germany through Georgia. PROM-TEST was also the first to make possible the quantitative testing of RNA viruses.
Since 2005 PROM-TEST successfully conducted several projects and initiatives, such as:
- Training of specialists of the center for the examination of criminal cases; installation of genetic identification equipment at the same center and the launch of its laboratory,
- In collaboration with the Epidemiological Service of the Ministry of Healthcare of Armenia PROM-TEST conducted the diagnosis of avian influenza in Armenia,
- Toxicology tests using the newest equipment of the Abbott Laboratories brand. This gave PROM-TEST the capability to determine the concentration of medication, alcohol and a variety of both traditional and synthetic recreational drugs in the bloodstream.
During long time PROM-TEST has been engaged in various projects and activates related to the Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). According to the Armenian law, the labeling of GMO foodstuffs is mandatory in Armenia, and PROM-TEST provides such services to local manufacturers and importers.
